The membership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) is being bedevilled by strong exchanges over accusation of demonic practices by one of its member Churches, the Christ Healing Center at Wilberforce Village, headed by the Nigerian born Apostle David Godson, which has staggered the leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a letter dated 18th March 2021, the President of the Fellowship, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly expressed worrying concerns over the revelations, which he described as \u201c\u2026Heinous And Devious Practices\u201d of David Godson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He disclosed that the Leadership had examined audio evidences of Godson\u2019s discreet practices, inducting others, \u201cwhiling posing to be an apostle of Christ\u201d adding that when interviewed, the so-called Apostle of God \u201cacknowledged his Wrong Doings\u201d, but failed to own up when asked to apologise in writing, referring to his act as “Doctrinal Issues”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Subsequently, the Leadership suspended the membership of Christ Healing Center from the fellowship and instructed that the Apostle Godson desists from all ministerial activities and duties in Sierra Leone with immediate effect, while further. Investigations were carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When contacted for his side of the story, Apostle Godson confirmed that he was no longer a member of the fellowship. \u201cI am no longer part of that organization\u201d, he said. He further acknowledged the accusations levied against him and in turn accused four pastors, whom he said were behind his persecution because he asked them out of his Church for failing to account for funds. He debunked the accusations as \u201ctotally fake\u201d, and referred to Bishop Julius Lagga of Harvest Intercontinental Ministries as his \u201cspiritual father\u201d, who can be contacted for clarification. Apostle Godson disclosed that just in eight years he had established 200 branches and a radio station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to Sierra Express Media<\/em> <\/strong>Bishop Lagga acknowledged being the \u201cSpiritual Father\u201d of the embattled Apostle. He said the matter had been resolved internally and that it was no longer relevant to the media, adding that the Ministry of Social Welfare had also mediated to reach an amicable settlement of the impasse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In his position statement, Bishop Lagga vehemently condemned the approach taken by the Leadership of PFSL in addressing the matter, describing it as \u201cpersonal vendetta, arrogance and pride\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He attested that Godson was his Spiritual Son, and that he had been working with him to align his doctrines with the New Testament. \u201cLet me hastily say that I am that spiritual father they were referring to. And I am not ashamed to be identified as Apostle David Godson Spiritual Father\u201d, part of his Position Statement reads.
