A pastor has illuminated four villages with quality solar lights in Bombali District, North of Sierra Leone, as a gift for Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Presenting the donation of the already installed eighteen solar lights in Yainkassa, Royeama, Madrissa, and Woreh-yeama in the Makari Chiefdom, Bombali District, Pastor Francis AM Mambu – CEO of Faith Healing Agricultural Development farm expressed his willingness to changing lives beyond preaching the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He told the beneficiaries: \u201cPapa God don pull wuna pa darkness\u201d literally meaning: \u201cGod has brought you out of darkness\u201d \u2013 citing from the Holy Bible \u2013 when God first created light with a pronouncement: \u201cLet There Be Light!\u201d. Further relating the importance of light to the improvement of mankind\u2019s wellbeing and development, Pastor Mambu remarked: \u201cThis is something I planned as a gift for Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The four communities including Yainkassa \u2013 the host village of FHAD neither have access to the neither national power grid nor solar light. Known for his life-changing passion, the Man of God disclosed: \u201cUpon preparing to install solar lights around the farm, I realized it will be inappropriate to abandon the surrounding communities in darkness\u201d \u2013 a realization he believes can improve and enhance quality of life and safety for the inhabitants and their school going children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pastor Mambu thanked the Chiefs and residents of the four villages and encouraged them to see themselves as stewards of the Faith Healing Agricultural Development farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Man of God, the installments of the solar lights worth over thirty-five million Leones will not mark the end of his zest to making life better for people living in that part of Sierra Leone. He has vowed to build them a Junior Secondary School by September 2021 and a Rice Mill Centre, and a Luma marketplace to enable farmers sell their products to local traders, as the one (Luma Market) existing miles away in Foredugu, north of the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the years, the \u2018Preacher-farmer\u2019 has not only been providing the various farmer-groups with machineries and seed rice, but also with seed money for micro-finance savings, though he pays for their labour on the farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Section Chiefs of the four villages and Ward Councilor profusely thanked Pastor Mambu for his generosity. Councilor Musa described the day as one of his happiest. In like manner, youth leaders and chairladies added: \u201cWith the solar lights, our school going children can now study at night. As youths, we can play games till 3:00am; the lights have brought happiness to our families plus improved security\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
