One of Sierra Leone\u2019s illustrious personalities who have been positively contributing towards nation building in diverse ways is indisputably, Eric Massallay,  who happens to be the National NGO Coordinator within the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. His contributions have greatly impacted overall national development and continue to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the dominant roles he had and is still playing not only as National Coordinator within the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Eric Massallay has  succeeded in gaining widespread recognition and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It therefore came as no big surprise when on the 10th December, 2020 he was recognized as one of the Top 100 Rising Stars and Emerging Leaders for the year 2019\/ 2020 during an occasion \u00a0that was organized by the Sierra Ovation Awards at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Freetown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving the award, in the company of his wife, Mr. Massallay extended profound thanks and appreciation to the organizers of the awards ceremony further congratulating them   for what he described as a wonderful and inspirational programme and promised to support the efforts of young people as long as they are in the drive to actualize the socio-economic progress of their communities  and enhance Human Capital Development move in various ways .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am destined to impact the lives of others,\u201d Mr. Massallay informed the audience also disclosing that he has lived by that mantra and  he will continue on that pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While thanking friends and well-wishers for their support, Mr. Massallay finally dedicated the award to his son, Master Eric Massallay Jr, noting that he is an inspiration to his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eric Massallay has indeed etched his personality in the sands of time as he well known for supporting youth activities in different communities not only here in Freetown but in other parts of the provinces. He has an affable character  and a true mixer who does not discriminate along class lines but always poised to rub shoulders with people from different walks of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has a wealth of experience in development work and has participated in various programmes that are geared towards the overall advancement of the nation which is why  he held in high esteem by many in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From what many intimated this medium immediately after the awards ceremony, it is good for many aspiring and ambitious young Sierra Leoneans to emulate the good steps and strides of Eric Massallay by selflessly contributing to the progress of country and man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
