Reports coming from Nigeria say Maj. General Victor Malu (in photo), the former ECOMOG Force Commander has passed away October 9th, 2017 in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Gen. Malu made a name for himself and his country Nigeria through his leadership roles for the restoration of peace and security in Liberia and Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n
At the end of his assignment, Gen. Malu was succeeded by Gen. Timothy Shelpidi who were all based in Monrovia from where they remote controlled the Sierra Leone ECOMOG operations.<\/p>\n
The only military Commander that was not replaced till the AFRC rebel interregnum was flushed out, was Brigadier General Mitikishe Maxwell Khobe who held the ground in Lungi!<\/p>\n
At the battlefront, Brigadier General Khobe never ordered his men to kill. He ordered them to “clear” obstacles before him.\u00a0 “Clear that area”, Gen. Khobe thundered!<\/p>\n
