The BABA Drilling and Exploration Company has vowed to boost good water supply and sanitized procedures of international standards in Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n
This disclosure was made at the launching of their office at Wilkinson Road in Freetown on 24 November 2015.<\/p>\n
The company started operations in India before it rolled out to some African countries with Sierra Leone as the first West African to operate in.<\/p>\n
Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, the Managing Director of BABA Company, Mr.\u00a0 Shashi Kumar, said the company is in Sierra Leone to help in the technology aspect of water supply by ensuring good water supply that has gone through hygienic procedures for the use of the citizens.<\/p>\n
He explained that there are diseases like typhoid and cholera that are acquired as a result of unhygienic water consumed by people, adding that his company is here to solve such problems.<\/p>\n
He further stated that his company will also create job opportunities to help Sierra Leoneans\u00a0 and help in providing\u00a0 good water supply.<\/p>\n
He noted that Sierra Leoneans should\u00a0 embrace them to\u00a0 make them feel at home as his company has fulfilled all the necessary criteria\u00a0 to start operations in the country.<\/p>\n
In his comments, the Mayor\u00a0 of the Freetown City Council, His Worship Franklyn Bode Gibson, said he is happy for\u00a0 the establishment of such a company in Sierra Leone\u00a0 because water is a basic necessity of life and its shortage and poor supply\u00a0 is not good for any country .<\/p>\n
He said Sierra Leone as a country should encourage people who are bringing development to the country.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, the Minister of Water Resources, Mr. Momodu Maligie, said as a Ministry they are happy for companies like BABA as they are coming to help in the aspect of water it hygiene.<\/p>\n
He called on Sierra Leoneans to open their hands and hearts to them and encourage them to work in the interest of the people of this country.<\/p>\n
