{"id":76434,"date":"2015-11-13T02:56:22","date_gmt":"2015-11-13T02:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierraexpressmedia.com\/?p=76434"},"modified":"2015-11-13T02:56:22","modified_gmt":"2015-11-13T02:56:22","slug":"parliament-approves-five-presidential-nominees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sierraexpressmedia.net\/?p=76434","title":{"rendered":"Parliament Approves Five Presidential Nominees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Freetown, November 11 (SLENA)<\/strong> &#8211; Parliament on Tuesday 10<sup>th<\/sup> November 2015 adopted the Twenty Second Report of the Committee on Appointments and the Public Service, approving five presidential nominees to serve some public institutions in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These presidential nominees were approved through a collection of voices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Raymond Nathaniel Smith &#8211; Chairman, National Conservation Trust Fund (NCTF)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Brima Koroma \u2013 Chairman, Sierra Leone Postal Services (SALOPST)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Emile Adeotie Lasite &#8211; Board Member, National Public Procurement Authority<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Tapsiru Lamin Dainkeh &#8211; Board Member, SALHOC and<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ing. Gertrude Sara Trudy Morgan, Member, National Commission for Privatization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The approved nominees were interviewed by the Committee on Appointments and Public Service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Making his contribution to the debate, Hon. Komba Kodoeyoma commended the nominees and urged them to carry out their responsibilities in the best interests of the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hon. Isata Kabia also praised President Koroma for nominating good Sierra Leoneans to strategic institutions that are supposed to do well in our post-ebola recovery programmes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both acting Majority and Minority Leaders of the House appreciated the nominees and urged them to deliver for the people of Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Upon the approval of the nominees, Speaker of Parliament, Hon.
