(Photo: <em>Women celebrating the end of the Ebola outbreak)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She made the statement at the Taylor Cummings Garden on Pademba Road in Central Freetown in memory of all those who died of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) on the day the World Health Organization declared the country Ebola free, Saturday 7<sup>th<\/sup> November 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier on Friday, the Forum participated in the procession and candle light vigil organized by various women\u2019s organizations in memory of all those died of the virus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She informed that the Women\u2019s Forum is grateful to member organizations for their solid steps, social mobilization, psychosocial counseling, sensitization on preventive measures and above all for the donation made to the Ebola Response Fund at the Rokel Commercial Bank that was opened by the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Mrs. Peacock, the Forum operated on the economic principle that help should come first from within before others can help from outside to help, reiterating that \u201cif someone is scrubbing your back, you should also help in the process by rubbing and splashing water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President of the Women\u2019s Forum also acclaimed all organizations within the Forum that paid money at the Rokel Commercial Bank.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They are the Mothers\u2019 Union, Women\u2019s Network of the Methodist Church Sierra Leone, United Methodist Women\u2019s Organization, National Union of Muslim Women, Catholic Women\u2019s Association, African Kind Hearts, Soroptimist, NOW, Zonta, SOJA Town Women, Devil Hole Uprising, Young Women\u2019s Christian Association, AMNET, MARWOPNET, KATEKARAN (Bombali), Sierra Leone Association of University Women and the Sierra Leone Labor Congress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She disclosed that the minimum amount requested from each organization was Le250, 000 but that most of organizations paid more than that for which she applauded them thus; \u201cwell done thou good and faithful servants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mrs. Peacock recalled that during the height of the Ebola pandemic, the Women\u2019s Forum prayed fervently every Thursday from 12\u20131 p.m. at the YWCA old Hall for divine intervention, revealing that the committed organizations that prayed forcefully for the end of the virus were the various Imams, Ministers of the Gospel, chaplains, Reverend Christiana Sutton-Koroma, Reverend Dr. Olivia Wesley for which the Forum says a big \u2018thank you\u2019 to them for their fervent prayers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThey were healing prayers that comforted us at a time we considered all was lost. We must not relent in our preventive measures that must continue.
