JOB DESCRIPTION FOR VACANT POSITION AT NETHIPS<\/span><\/h3>\n

The incumbent will, under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager and the overall supervision of the Executive Director, be responsible for all accounting tasks of NETHIPS.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/span>
\n<\/b><\/h3>\n

The\u00a0 Finance Officer shall :<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Handle all disbursement matters of the Christian Aid funded projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Be responsible for all Financial, budgetary and accounting data entry and record keeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Prepare\u00a0 all project financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually and consolidated)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Assist management as needed with the management of all Project accounts and in any other matter with the financial budgetary, cost managerial assets and other related tasks of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Competencies<\/b> <\/span><\/h3>\n
            \n
          • Professionalism – Knowledge of accounting policies and principles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Communications – Good communication (spoken and written) skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Technology Awareness – Good computer skills; proficiency in standard computer applications (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel etc.), the use of QuickBooks financial accounting package is a must.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • Teamwork – Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and\n
                    \n
                  • maintain effective working relations with sensitivity and respect for<\/li>\n
                  • people living with HIV (PLHIV).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Qualifications<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

                    Education – <\/b>Should possess a degree or technician diploma in Accounting or Economics.<\/p>\n

                    Work Experience – <\/b>At least five (5) years working experience in a similar position of which three (3) years must be post qualification experience.<\/p>\n
