Duties and Responsibility<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

To lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects that will improve operational effectiveness and deliver cost savings across the operation.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • A positive commitment to safety within a harm free working environment.<\/li>\n
  • Establish a Continuous Improvement (CI) specialist team within a junior mining company to develop a positive CI behaviour across the operations.<\/li>\n
  • Deliver operational improvement projects using CI philosophy and project methodology.<\/li>\n
  • Identify savings opportunities within business processes through effective cost saving initiatives and optimisations.<\/li>\n
  • Time and motion studies of mining, processing, logistic and support services functional areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualification\/Experience Requirement<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Five years of relevant experience within the mining sector.<\/li>\n
    • Training and qualifications in CI and 6 Sigma.<\/li>\n
    • Good computer skills, in MS Office applications and the ability to learn new software.<\/li>\n
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of SAP\/ERP systems and associated data mining<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to interface with managers at all levels with diplomacy and tac<\/li>\n
    • Ability to influence and direct others towards CI goals and objective<\/li>\n
    • Ability to multi-task with strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.<\/li>\n
    • Strong personal commitment to CI principles with a strong bias for delivery and action.<\/li>\n
    • Self-motivated with ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision<\/li>\n
    • Experience of operating in remote sites and developing countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
