{"id":64970,"date":"2014-01-31T01:29:55","date_gmt":"2014-01-31T01:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierraexpressmedia.com\/?p=64970"},"modified":"2014-01-31T01:29:55","modified_gmt":"2014-01-31T01:29:55","slug":"devolved-youth-sector-engage-youths-on-non-violence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sierraexpressmedia.net\/?p=64970","title":{"rendered":"Devolved youth sector engage youths on non-violence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Freetown, Jan. 28 (SLENA)<\/b> &#8211; The Devolved Youth Sector of the Freetown City Council in collaboration with the Western Area Urban District Youth Council on Monday this week organized a one day youth dialogue forum on the topic \u2018Culture of Peace and Non Violence\u2019\u00a0 at the Ebenezer Millennium Hall in\u00a0 Freetown.\u00a0<em> (Photo: Devolve Youth Officer, Mr. Sulaiman Kargbo, giving an overview of the project )<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the occasion said the training programme was very important in the development of the mindset and that of the development of the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Giving an overview of the project, the Devolved Youth Officer, Mr.\u00a0 Sulaiman Kargbo said in order to develop youth activities in the country, government decentralized it functions to capacitate the development of the country, adding that all projects have to be implemented by government and that his responsibility is to work with the youth of the country and draw plans to move forward the activities of the youths in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Sulaiman Kargbo spoke about how youths should live together and avoid violence in order to promote development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Making his presentation, Mr. George Williams from the Peace and Conflict Studies, Fourah Bay College, dwelt on the importance of the culture of peace in the development of the community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his presentation on Leadership Volunteerism, Mohamed B.
