{"id":56523,"date":"2013-05-03T16:07:31","date_gmt":"2013-05-03T16:07:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierraexpressmedia.com\/?p=56523"},"modified":"2013-05-03T16:07:31","modified_gmt":"2013-05-03T16:07:31","slug":"in-sierra-leone-financials-show-2012-was-a-year-of-delivery-for-sierra-rutile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sierraexpressmedia.net\/?p=56523","title":{"rendered":"In Sierra Leone &#8211; financials show 2012 was a year of delivery for Sierra Rutile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Describing 2011 as a year of transition and 2012 as \u201ca year of delivery\u201d for Sierra Rutile Limited, CEO John Sisay highlights an impressive list of achievements in the company\u2019s 2012 financial results for the year ended 31 December 2012 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierra-rutile.com\/uploads\/sierrarutilelimited2012annualreport.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">published April 25<\/a>).\u00a0 <em>(Photo: Mr. John Sisay, CEO, Sierra Rutile Limited)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These include increasing rutile production by 39% to 94,493 tonnes, completing the new Lanti Dry Mining project, which is now in the final stages of commissioning, and completing studies on a number of further expansion projects including the Gangama Dry Mining project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The improved operating performance is reflected in the company\u2019s financial performance.\u00a0 2012 revenues increased by 226% to US$179.1 million, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of US$107.8 million, compared to the previous year\u2019s EBITDA of US$0.1 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This year\u2019s first quarter results indicate the stability of the company\u2019s operations and the sustainability of last year\u2019s increases in rutile production.
