Turkey-based Bursaspor\u2019s forward Ibrahim \u2018Tetteh\u2019 Bangura is not only upset because of the system of play the Leone Stars Coach Lars Olof Mattsson introduced that led to their 2-1 defeat by Tunisia in last Saturday March 23 2013 third group match in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Rades in Tunisia, but also of him being left out of the starting line-up.<\/p>\n
The 23 year old with now 9 caps to his credit, who came in as a substitute replacing Italy\u2019s Parma Rodney Strasser in the second half, said that the team should have played the 4-3-3 formation instead of Coach Mattsson\u2019s 4-5-1 formation.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201ceverything went wrong as there were three midfielders who play the same football making the whole situation complex and difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we should have played the 4-3-3 formation rather than the 4-5-1 formation which was very complex and difficult. Had the Tunisians had luck in the first half they would have scored two or three goals and then the match would have been over long since,\u201d said he.<\/p>\n
He said the coach is the only one with the right to select his team but however pointed out: \u201cI was a little bit upset for being left out in the starting line-up.<\/p>\n
The player further noted the absence of some key players for the said match due to withdrawals, suspension and injuries, impacted negatively on the team\u2019s selection and consequently badly affected the whole team.<\/p>\n
Bangura is optimistic there is still something left to fight for as he puts it: \u201cit is still not yet over as the return leg in Freetown in June will be a decisive match to either close in on the current five points gap or finally throw in the towel.<\/p>\n
Reacting to his assertions, Coach Olof Mattsson said: \u201cCrespo played very good football but Tetteh was not as good as Crespo!\u201d<\/p>\n
