{"id":54112,"date":"2013-03-18T01:00:08","date_gmt":"2013-03-18T01:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierraexpressmedia.com\/?p=54112"},"modified":"2013-03-18T01:00:08","modified_gmt":"2013-03-18T01:00:08","slug":"kabba-china-laid-to-rest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sierraexpressmedia.net\/?p=54112","title":{"rendered":"Kabba China Laid To Rest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thousands of Sierra Leoneans from all walks of life including Minister of Sports &#8211; Paul Kamara, Minister of Defense &#8211; Paolo Conteh, the Retired National Football Heroes, and Mighty Blackpool football club on Thursday 14<sup>th<\/sup> March, 2013 paid their final respects to the ex-military and football hero, Kabba Kamara popularly known as \u201cKabba China.\u201d\u00a0 <i>(Photo: Final moment of the late Kabba Kamara popularly known as \u201cKabba China.\u201d)<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The remains of Kabba China were taken from Connaught Hospital Mortuary to his family home at No 59 Regent Road, Lumley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dead body was later taken to the National Stadium by midday where dignitaries made tributes in respect of the late football icon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to what this press gathered, it was Kabba China\u2019s contribution in the National Football team, Leone Stars in China in 1974 that earned the country her only National Stadium.\u00a0 For this reason, many suggested that a laying out ceremony be held at the at the National Stadium.
