Nowadays, the situation seems to have taken a reverse as there now exists a very cordial relationship between soldiers and civilians. The cordial relationship is being fostered by the professionalism and diligence exhibited by soldiers deployed in especially the provincial towns.<\/p>\n
Officers of the Sierra Leone Navy deployed at Gbangbatoke and commanded by Lieutenant Brima Kamara are reported to be doing a marvelous job in that area.<\/p>\n
Residents of Gbangbatoke and other areas of Sierra Rutile have commended the soldiers for providing water-tight security through their constant patrols.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can now sleep soundly at night as the regular patrolling of the officers has helped tremendously to keep criminals away,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
The Vimetco Bauxite Mining Company and the Sierra Rutile have extended gratitude to the soldiers for protecting their properties from thieves.<\/p>\n
Residents of the mining areas are therefore calling on government to provide more logistical support for the soldiers to help them become more effective.<\/p>\n
