The Foundation aims to strengthen the private sector\u2019s role in the economic transformation of select African countries starting with Liberia and Sierra Leone. It is meant to develop the capacity of their governments to enhance competitiveness and attract and nurture private investment and move beyond aid. The Fellowship, a partnership between Tony Blair\u2019s Africa Governance Initiative and The Tony Elumelu Foundation, offers a unique new model for economic transformation in Africa, bringing together the best of innovative European government delivery models with the best of African private sector acumen and execution.\u00a0 <em>(Photo: l-r President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone and President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria)<\/em><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">IFC\u2019s $2.8m Facility To Lift Vitafoam\u2019s Subsidiary<\/span>: <\/strong>Vitafoam Nigeria Plc\u2019s expansion and diversification programmes have received a boost with the International Finance Corporation\u2019s recent granting of a \u201csoft loan\u201d of $2.8m (N436.8m) facility to Vitafoam Sierra Leone Limited, a subsidiary of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc.
