Murtala Mohamed Kamara, founder\/publisher of Sierra Leone\u2019s foremost Arts and Entertainment magazine, www.salonejamboree.net<\/a>, will appear as a special guest on Dreams Come True with jazzyb on March 18th in the Nigerian city of Ibadan, Oyo state.\u00a0 (Photo: Murtala Mohamed Kamara)<\/em><\/p>\n

Dreams Come True with jazzyb is an informational talk show that seeks to empower youths to fulfill their dreams. \u00a0The reality TV show invites different individuals who have become iconic in their profession from different fields to share their story from being \u2018a zero to a hero\u2019.<\/p>\n

The show which is broadcasted to millions of viewers via Nigerian Television Authority, popularly known by its acronym as NTA, and various other satellite channels allows young people to ask mind boggling questions of the icons on how they would move from their present level towards accomplishing their own dreams.<\/p>\n

Notable personalities who have appeared on the show include Oyo State Commissioner for Youths & Sports Mr. Ayoola Makanjuola, renowned movie producer Tunde Kelani, popular musician Weird MC, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Ruggedman and Charles Oputa aka Charley Boy.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving observed some of your works and being struck by your ingenuity for your strong desire for positive change to take place in the lives of the young people of this society and in this generation, we humbly invite your honorable personality to attend our youth empowerment talk show sharing your story from being zero to hero,\u201d excerpts from an official invitation letter which was addressed to Murtala reads.<\/p>\n

The letter reads further: \u201cThis is no coincidence; we are only convinced that having your phenomenal personality on this edition will pave the way for great things to come for the future of the young people in this generation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kamara said he feels honored to be selected to share his true life story to millions of youths across the continent and beyond. \u00a0He said he hopes his story will inspire other young people.<\/p>\n

The Goodwill Ambassador for Calaba Town Progressive Youth Organisation (CPYO), a youth-led organization set up in his hometown in eastern Freetown, said his story started on the 15th of April 1984.<\/p>\n

He disclosed that despite coming from a rich family background, he had a very tough start with life. \u00a0\u201cI was rejected at an early age.\u00a0 I was called names. \u00a0For several years, I watched my mother suffer at home. \u00a0I was told I could not make it in life and at some point I almost tended to believe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The SLMTV Journalist of the Year 2011 said he went into a coma for nearly 12 hours at the tender age of 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody gave up on me except my mother; she was the only one who believed that I would live to tell this story one day\u2026 I have seen it all – the good, the bad and the ugly side of life. \u00a0All this has helped in shaping me as a man,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

And he added: \u201cIf I could brave all that and make my life from nothing to something, I think other young people can do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy story is the story of most African youths,\u201d he went on, stressing that his dream is to inspire more young people across the world.<\/p>\n

The publisher of Sierra Leone`s only and most read entertainment newspaper reserves special thanks for Dr. Addonis Abboud of Transnational Inc. for providing him a return air ticket to Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank Dr. Addonis Abboud for giving me the opportunity to share my story with the rest of the world. \u00a0I also want to thank all friends and family members for their support throughout these years.\u201d<\/p>\n
