He died last Saturday, February 18th<\/sup> \u201cfollowing a prolonged illness\u201d, reports state. The late man, who died at the age of 69, reportedly became prime minister of his Caribbean homeland in February of 1995 after the resignation of Prime Minister Nicholas Braithwaite.
\n<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Grenada is an <\/span>island country<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Commonwealth Realm<\/span><\/a> consisting of the island of Grenada and six smaller islands at the southern end of the <\/span>Grenadines<\/span><\/a> in the southeastern <\/span>Caribbean Sea<\/span><\/a>. It is located northwest of <\/span>Trinidad and Tobago<\/span><\/a>, northeast of <\/span>Venezuela<\/span><\/a>, and southwest of <\/span>Saint Vincent and the Grenadines<\/span><\/a>, according to online findings. <\/span><\/p>\n

Signing a Book of Condolence, Thursday, February 24th<\/sup> at the Grenada Embassy in Beijing, People\u2019s Republic of China on behalf of the people and government of Sierra Leone, Paul A S. Minah stated, that from the bilateral front, Sierra Leone and Grenada have been having common standing on international matters, coupled with both countries\u2019 relation from the perspective of the Commonwealth of Nations. He conveyed the Government of Sierra Leone\u2019s deep sorrow at the death of the Former Prime Minister.<\/span><\/p>\n

The current Prime Minister\u00a0 of Grenada, Hon. Tillman Thomas, according to the official government website of the Grenada government expressed \u201cdeep sadness\u201d at the passing of former Prime Minister \u2026\u201d saying, the country has \u201clost a great stalwart, who gave selflessly as a teacher, author, politician, historian, minister of government and Prime Minister\u2026\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
