The owner of Division I side Sheffield United, Fred Claye, has told sports journalists inF reetown that he is happy with his team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe club has transformed itself to a household name of football in the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the club can boast of a structured system that comprises of a youth team and the senior team, whereas the junior team is currently taking part in an ongoing youth tournament inFreetown.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy senior side has just won there first trophy at Lungi last month when they defeated Best of Lungi 4-1, a side that comprise of four football players from the English Premiership side Wigan Athletics football Academy and host of others whom are Sierra Leoneans.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the Agriculturist and football lover, he said despite the Club is serving an alleged ban from the FA, his team will be taking part in several national and international football friendlies hopefully starting next year 2012.<\/p>\n
\u201cI intend to upgrade the team by bringing in top Premier league players to the club as a way of boosting the squad.
