{"id":31118,"date":"2011-10-20T15:51:53","date_gmt":"2011-10-20T15:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierraexpressmedia.com\/?p=31118"},"modified":"2011-10-20T15:51:53","modified_gmt":"2011-10-20T15:51:53","slug":"libyans-must-see-justice-after-death-of-colonel-al-gaddafi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sierraexpressmedia.net\/?p=31118","title":{"rendered":"Libyans must see justice after death of Colonel al-Gaddafi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The reported death of Colonel Mu&#8217;ammar al-Gaddafi would bring to a close a chapter of Libya&#8217;s history marked by repression and abuse but does not end the story, Amnesty International said today.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cThe legacy of repression and abuse from Colonel Mu&#8217;ammar al-Gaddafi&#8217;s rule will not end until there is a full accounting for the past and human rights are embedded in Libya&#8217;s new institutions,\u201d said Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Deputy Director for North Africa and the Middle East at Amnesty International.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Colonel al-Gaddafi\u2019s death must not stop his victims in Libya from seeing justice being done.
