Following an overwhelming welcome of the All People Congress Dallas Chapter \u2018Iron Lady,\u2019 Nanette Thomas, on the 13th<\/sup> of August, and a subsequent remarkable meeting of the chapter on the 19th<\/sup> of the same month, the Houston chapters also paid a courtesy call and bids farewell to Ms. Thomas on Tuesday, August 30.\u00a0 (Photo: Round table Luncheon<\/em>)<\/p>\n

A high powered delegation headed by the chapter president, Mr. Alex Bangs drove 250 miles from their destination to come to Dallas to pay respect to the outgoing President of the Dallas chapter Nanette Thomas, for her new position as National Coordinator and Second-in-Command for Attitudinal and Behavioral Change (ABC).\u00a0 The chapter believes that it was a great honor for the former chapter president to whom they should extend warm congratulations by sitting in a round table family luncheon.<\/p>\n

<\/em>In the course of her duties and responsibilities, Ms Thomas earned the respect of her party members for her integrity and sincerity.\u00a0 \u201cWe rejoice in recognition of the new position which has been accorded to you by His Excellency, the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.\u00a0 We will miss you, but it is important that you extend your shared knowledge back home and apply combined tenacity with dynamic action for positive change of attitude and behaviors as is your job objective,\u201d the delegation asserted.<\/p>\n

They prayed for the Iron Lady and expressed their earnest hope that Nanette Thomas\u2019 time is not far off when she will go on to even greater honor if she performs well.\u00a0 For that reason, the Houston chapter went on; we join with your many party members, friends, and relatives in renewed assurance of our own high regard.<\/p>\n

<\/em>Mr. Mohamed Okoroji Kargbo noted that the outgoing chapter president has worked hard and diligently in the APC Texas Chapter; therefore she richly deserved the honor. \u00a0He advised Ms. Thomas to always demonstrate a sense of humility, and as he put it, it is the act of humility towards low class people that all of us need to inculcate.<\/p>\n

Responding to the delegates, Ms Thomas thanked the Houston chapter for them fully recognizing the great service she had rendered to APC North America. \u00a0She said that the task ahead of her is enormous and the challenges are great. \u00a0\u201cI have listened to all the advice and I promise, I will not disappoint you,\u201d the Iron Lady affirmed. She expressed that with God by her side the sky would be her limit. She wished the chapter the best in their deliberations and bid the Houston chapter good bye.<\/p>\n
