The Sierra Leone Football Association wishes to inform the general public and all football stakeholders in the country that it has put on hold its current First Division play-offs in the Western area until further notice.<\/p>\n
The decision is based on a ruling from the High Court of Sierra Leone after hearing an interim injunction request from a WAFA First Division outfit Sheffield United on Thursday 8 September, 2011.<\/p>\n
The court however ruled that, Sheffield United directs its appeal to the Western Area Appeal\u2019s Committee for adjudication hence its decision becomes binding on all parties concerned.<\/p>\n
In addition, the Court has also mandated WAFA to come out with a decision on this matter within the next seven (7) days.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Football Association once again wants to appeal to all stakeholders to exercise patience until a decision is reached by the Western Area Football Association Appeal\u2019s Committee.<\/p>\n
Further to that, the scheduled National First Division play-offs in Makeni and Magburaka has invariably been put on hold until all the pending hold-ups are cleared.<\/p>\n
