He was also responsible for the church opening a Nazarene Theological Institute training center in the Segbwema area.

An energetic young man, Ngobeh was the son of a paramount chief, deceased as of several years ago, and of a mother who is the daughter of a town chief.

In the early months following the launch of the Church of the Nazarene in Sierra Leone – February 2005 – Ngobeh’s heart was captivated by its emphasis on “holiness of heart and life.”

He served as a JESUS Film team member in church planting outreach. His vibrant spirit and contagious smile earned him the nickname “Ever-living Morrison” from fellow team members.

Following his service in the Freetown area, he moved to the upcountry. A number of months later, he returned to Freetown and approached missionaries Paul and Sharon Martin with his vision to take the Church of the Nazarene into the eastern Kailahun Province.

In the last two years, he has made the 210-mile trip from Segbwema to the capitol city several times and has attended a number of NTI classes, both in Segbwema and in Freetown. He pursued vigorously his vision to see the glad message of holiness spread in his homeland.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie; a 12-year-old son; and two daughters – a 10 year old and a 1 year old.

by NCN news staff

Stay with Sierra Express Media, for your trusted place in news!

A pastor known for planting churches in Sierra Leone was killed in a traffic wreck more than a week ago.
