In his path, he told Sierra Express Media that he was dragged to court, refused bail and made to sleep in cells at the Central prison owing to government coined up tactics to have him surrender the staff of the office of Paramount Chief to the local government Minister.<\/p>\n
He said however that he was with some Germans, who came to render him support in the provision of ambulances and other medical equipments for his hospital in Birwa Chiefdom.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolice officers approached me at \u2018Pan Lap\u2019 Checkpoint in Makeni town demanding that I go with them to Makeni police station to answer to a complaint made against me,\u201d deposed Biriwa Chief said.<\/p>\n
Findings have it that deposed Chief Madseray went through chieftaincy nomination and later contested an election where automatically he became the victor.<\/p>\n
Being a Madingo by ethnicity, his election victory was rejected by the Limba community in the Chiefdom.<\/p>\n
This ignited discontent in minds of the APC (then in opposition), who sees the election of Chief Madseray as unfounded and uncalled for.<\/p>\n
Facts have it that shortly after the APC took over governance in 2007, it set up a commission of enquiry to look into the conduct of the Biriwa chief.<\/p>\n
From what this press has laid hands on, it is believed that the commission came up with series of recommendations, one of which was the conduct of an election to elect a new Paramount chief for Biriwa.<\/p>\n
Findings also state that the incumbent chief was recently arrested by the police, detained and frog marched to the court on two count charges.<\/p>\n
At first appearance, he was refused bail and made to pass the night in cells of the central prison.<\/p>\n
Facts have it that the deposed Biriwa chief has surrendered his chieftaincy staff to the consultant master and registrar pending the court case.<\/p>\n
