The newly appointed Manager of Nigeria Super Eagles, former player, Samson Siasia’s who was expecting to be unveiled today in Abuja by the Nigeria Football Federation \u00a0has been postponed indefinitely.<\/p>\n
This is due to a general strike called by Nigeria’s Labour union today (Wednesday) and has left businesses and all office in the country closed.<\/p>\n
He was expected to sign a Contract and a Code of Conduct, reports from NFF Technical Committee Chairman Chris Green as saying.<\/p>\n
“We are all aware that there is a national strike,” NFF Executive Committee member Christopher Green said.<\/p>\n
“A lot of those who were expected to be at the event are stranded in different parts of the country.<\/p>\n
“So we have decided to postpone the event indefinitely. We will inform the public of a new date in due course.”<\/p>\n
But Green says the postponement of the event will in no way slow down the programme of the federation.<\/p>\n
“He doesn\u2019t officially take over until December 1, and preparations for the friendly against Iran have already been made. That team will be coached by Austin Eguavoen.”<\/p>\n
