Speaking during the formal closure of the NEPAD trade fair, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed said he is happy to let the world know that \u201cThis NEPAD trade fair provided a unique meeting point for interactions and exchange of ideas between potential investors, buyers and sellers of general goods and services. \u201cIt also encouraged partnership and joint venture initiatives between investors, Manufacturers, Industrialists and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n

In addition, the trade-fair promoted regional trade development cooperation and integration. \u201cIt exposed Africa and its great and vast potentials and opportunities to both African and Western entrepreneurs and facilitated the development and optimal utilization of local content and its acceptance in the vast international export market and promote the non oil sector of the African economy with particular respect to agro \u2013 industries, manufacturing, mining and mineral resources.<\/p>\n

The failure on the part of the Ministry of Trade and State Enterprises to participate in the trade fair actually necessitated the collective of\u00a0 Sierra Leone High Commission in the Federal Republic of Nigeria\u00a0 to mobilize and made a satisfactory representation at the Investment Forum and showcased Sierra Leone as a country with vast arable land for agricultural purpose, one of the world\u2019s largest Iron Ore deposits, a Tourist Destination with pristine white Sandy Beaches coupled with Eco- Tourism sites, a convenient place to do business: one of the safest Countries in Africa.<\/p>\n

Cultural display - a masked devil at NEPAD Trade Fair<\/p><\/div>\n

In addition, Sierra Leone was showcased as a country with stable electricity in the capital and improving electricity supply to the rural areas: a Country with effective communications network and improving infrastructural development, which according to Nigeria\u2019s vice President Architect Namadi Sambo during the opening of the NEPAD trade fair, are the basis for development of any country.<\/p>\n

Other Participants include\u00a0representatives from Cameroon, Ghana, Uganda, Benin, Gambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Mali, and Senegal 36 States within the Nigerian Federation etc.<\/p>\n

Different countries displayed products, country policies, facilities and culture.<\/p>\n
