{"id":15260,"date":"2010-10-25T00:30:27","date_gmt":"2010-10-25T04:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierraexpressmedia.com\/?p=15260"},"modified":"2010-10-25T00:30:27","modified_gmt":"2010-10-25T04:30:27","slug":"zain-enhances-education-in-junior-secondary-schools-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sierraexpressmedia.net\/?p=15260","title":{"rendered":"Zain enhances education in junior secondary schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a bid to give back to the people of Sierra Leone as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, Zain through its Build Our Nation initiative targeted the Junior Secondary School (JSS) sector and donated Educational items to pupils of Abdel Nasser Islamic Junior Secondary School in Bo and Badrudeen Islamic Junior Secondary School in Kenema, Eastern  Sierra Leone.\u00a0 (<em>Photo: Abdel-Nasser-School-Bo<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It could be recalled that Zain made similar donations a fortnight ago to the FAWE School in Makeni and the UMC  Girls School in Kono. The Build Our Nation initiative is set to complement government\u2019s effort in enhancing the future of pupils in schools as they are the future of this country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since 2007, Zain Sierra Leone has regularly donated educational supplies to local schools all around Sierra Leone. Each year, Zain supports the progress of the education sector in Sierra Leone by providing supplies to schools in different rural areas and this year is no exception.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through the \u2018Build Our Nation\u201d scheme, Zain donated Educational Materials to school pupils of Abdel Nasser Islamic Junior Secondary School in Bo and Badrudeen Islamic Junior Secondary School in Kenema. The materials included full set stationeries including exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers, mathematical sets, Zain branded school bags and other Zain branded goods like T-Shirts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div id=\"attachment_15261\" style=\"width: 304px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/sem.lamtech.sl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Badrudeen-School-Kenema.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15261\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15261\" title=\"Badrudeen School Kenema\" src=\"http:\/\/sem.lamtech.sl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Badrudeen-School-Kenema.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"294\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-15261\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Badrudeen School Kenema<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mr. Kelvin E Kellie, Zain\u2019s Head of Corporate Affairs &amp; Communications at the draw to choose the lucky schools that will benefit said, \u201cMost of these schools have children from poor backgrounds or some have lost their parents through war, learning materials become a big problem purchasing when school reopens. \u00a0Zain therefore tries to be continuously responsive to the needs of these pupils\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zain\u2019s Corporate Affairs &amp; Communications Executive, Ms. June-Rose Johnson, in her speech at the event said these schools were determined through a ballot system and therefore the recipients should feel proud they emerged as winners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These donations were done with the consent of the Schools authorities and proprietors. As such, they were all present during the donations.
